Class of 1961 graduates Elizabeth Hussey Jennings, Carole Rooney Morris, Rosemary Reilly Pfaffle, Mary McLaughlin Regan, Dorothy Renkowski and Marletta Stevenson all gathered at the Alumni Fall Luncheon in October to celebrate the life and accomplishments of their classmate and honoree, Joan B. Carey ’61. Joan had a distinguished career and had positive impact in her work as a lawyer, assistant district attorney and Supreme Court judge in New York City. They all think that Joan is a shining example of St. Joseph’s College motto: Esse non videri — “To be, not to seem.”
