375 Years of the Sisters of St. Joseph
2025 marks the 375th anniversary of the Sisters of St. Joseph, the order under which St. Joseph’s University, New York was founded (as St. Joseph’s College for Women). Since 1916, the Sisters have been essential to the University’s success. Ever present, their lives and legacy are the foundation for the University’s five pillars: integrity, intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, social responsibility and service.
To help celebrate their 375th anniversary, here are just a few examples of the impact the Sisters of St. Joseph have had on our community.
